The 90th Anniversary of the first snow train to run between Schenectady and North Creek is being celebrated locally and, in the Adirondacks, through March 2024. Known as the North Creek Snow Train, it first brough 378 skiers from Schenectady to North Creek on March 4, 1934. Join us as we highlight the legacy of the historic “snow train” that brought skiing into popularity after the 1932 Winter Olympics and made the Adirondacks a global ski destination. Cream Ale. From Ireland, comes this clean, refreshing ale that balances hops and roasted barley for a flavor that mixes a slightly sweet malt with moderate bitterness. Famous amber color comes from the specially roasted barley.

In 19th century Germany, a new style of beer began to appear around the ports of Cologne. The drinkable Golden Ale was named for its city—Kölsch—and it was a refreshing answer to hot summer days on the banks of the Rhine River. Inspired by our German brewing lineage, we set out to brew a refreshing Kölsch, with a 21st century update of ruby red grapefruit. The result is a crisp, bright-golden ale with a bready malt body and a mild hop bitterness that complement the perfect addition of tart, mouthwatering grapefruit. Prost!
